Latest version

1.44.1 2026

Fixed

  • The language chosen at installation really does apply. It was only picked up on a machine that had NEVER been used: as soon as a settings file existed — and it deliberately survives an uninstall — the installer's choice was ignored. The software now compares against the last installer choice already applied: installing in English puts the software in English, and if you then switch back to French from the menu, a reinstallation in the same language no longer goes against your choice. An installation in another language, on the other hand, does apply.
  • Show signals mode: the button read Stop at launch whereas it started the acquisition. It now reads Start acquisition as long as the acquisition has not begun. The behaviour itself was correct — only the label was wrong.

1.44.0 2026 · 3 changes

Added

  • The software reopens in the last mode used (File, Network or D.T.MUX Recorder). If the stored mode was Recorder and no card is present at start-up, it reopens on File.
  • New Software start-up setting (Settings), with four choices:
    • No action — normal start-up, nothing is launched.
    • Show signals *(default choice)* — the display gets ready and the card is detected and programmed, without starting the acquisition: you set up your mosaics and your windows cold. The channels are already known (the last description received from the card is stored), so the cell selectors can be used. The acquisition starts on the first press of Listen, of — which then starts acquisition and recording in a single move — or on the discrete input, monitored from start-up in this mode.
    • Start acquisition — the acquisition starts as soon as the software opens.
    • Start recording — the acquisition starts, and the recording with it.
  • The language chosen at installation becomes that of the software at first launch (the 6 installer languages). After that, only the Settings ▸ Language menu applies.

1.43.0 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • A recording never overwrites the previous one again. The recording path was stored and targeted identically: starting a second recording erased the first, with no warning. Now, if the name is already taken, the recording opens a series — test.mux, then test_002.mux, test_003.mux… Valid in Recorder mode as well as in network reception.

Added

  • Choice of the card's recording folder (Tools ▸ Recorder (card)… ▸ Recording folder, with a Browse button). Each recording creates a timestamped file there: no more renaming anything between two tests. At the first recording, the folder is asked for once then stored; installations that had already set a path keep their folder.

1.42.2 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • Recorder mode: the displayed amplitude was wrong after a change of range. When switching a channel from 2.5 V to 1.25 V, the displayed peak-to-peak doubled (2 V read as 4 V) whereas the signal had not moved: the cell kept the old range, while the card now codes the same signal on values twice as large. The full scale declared by the source (secretariat of the card, .mux secretariat, TMATS) now takes priority over the value stored from a previous session, and cells already open pick it up immediately at each new declaration — card configuration, new network stream, import of a card descriptor.
  • One consequence to be aware of: on a channel whose full scale is declared, a value entered by hand in the cell's field is no longer kept from one session to the next — the declaration is what counts. Entry remains possible for the current session, and nothing changes for channels for which no full scale is declared.

1.42.1 2026 · 1 change

Changed

  • Levels in dB are displayed with three decimal places (FFT mode, marker and level measurements), so as to compare finely with another analyser. Note: on the FFT peak, the accuracy of the method is of the order of 0.06 dB — the last two decimal places are indicative there. The level measurements of the Measurements tab, on the other hand, are accurate to 0.002 dB (computed on the RMS voltage, without going through the FFT): their three decimal places are significant.

1.42.0 2026 · 4 changes

Fixed

  • The peak level in FFT mode is now correct. It was underestimated — by up to 1.4 dB — when the signal frequency did not fall exactly on a spectrum computation point: a signal at 3.3 dB could read 2.0 dB, with nothing to indicate it. The peak is now refined from its immediate neighbours: maximum error brought down to 0.06 dB, and the peak frequency is also more precise (0.1 Hz instead of nearly 4 Hz on a common setting). The marker peak benefits from the same correction.
  • The level is displayed to the tenth of a dB (it was rounded to the unit), the resolution of an analyser.

Added

  • Level measurements in dB in the Measurements tab of analogue channels: dBV (0 dB = 1 V RMS, displayed by default), dBu (0 dB = 0.775 V, audio use) and dBFS (0 dB = full-scale sine of the channel). They are ticked like the other measurements, in the Level (dB) section.
  • The two readings agree: on a pure sine, the FFT peak and the dBV measurement give the same value (verified to within 0.06 dB over the whole frequency range).

1.41.0 2026 · 3 changes

Added

  • User manual completely reworked and up to date (v4.0, 23 chapters): it now covers everything the software can do — the three working modes (file, network, acquisition card), the six presentations of an analogue channel including Panorama, the videos (H.264/MPEG, JPEG 2000 and the family added recently), Ethernet and PCM video decommutation, the test report, segment extraction, export to CSV, card descriptors, workspaces, the compact presentation for small screens and the folding of the settings per cell.
  • At installation, the manual can be placed on the Desktop — the option is ticked by default, along with the other icons. It can be unticked if you do not want it, and uninstalling removes it.
  • Access is unchanged otherwise: Help ▸ Manual opens the same document from the application.

1.40.0 2026 · 5 changes

Added

  • Clearly visible recording indicator: a flashing red REC dot appears in the top bar as soon as a recording starts — including in compact presentation, where the status bar (which until now carried the only indicator) is hidden.
  • Confirmation before quitting during a recording: closing the application while a recording is in progress now asks for a confirmation, so as no longer to lose a test capture to an unfortunate click.
  • Mosaics accessible from the menu: View ▸ Mosaics lists the open mosaics, lets you switch from one to another and create a new one. Essential in compact presentation, where the tab strip is hidden as long as there is only one mosaic.
  • View ▸ Free placement and View ▸ Full screen complete the menu.

Changed

  • Lighter top bar: the full-screen button leaves everyday use (it stays displayed during full screen, so as to leave it without a keyboard), and in compact presentation Close all and Free placement move into the View menu. So much more room given back to the display of the channels.

1.39.0 2026 · 3 changes

Added

  • ⚙ button on every cell (to the left of the channel name): folds or unfolds the settings of that channel — mode, time base, scale, trigger, measurements, video settings… Once the channel is set, these bars are no longer of use: folding them gives their space back to the trace. Available for all channel types that have settings (analogue, video, bus, PCM, parallel, serial, temperature, GPS).
  • The choice is stored per channel: a folded channel stays folded when the workspace is reloaded.
  • Combined effect with the compact presentation, on an 8-inch panel in a mosaic of two graphs: the trace height goes from 78 px to about 267 px per graph.

1.38.0 2026 · 3 changes

Added

  • Display suited to small screens. On a small screen or window (typically ground stations with an 8-inch panel), the interface automatically switches to compact presentation: the area actually devoted to the curves doubles (from 39% to 79% of the screen measured at 1024 × 768), and a mosaic of two stacked graphs offers more than twice the trace height.
    • The menus fold into a single button, the channel list hides away at one press, the superfluous bars disappear — without ever reducing the text size (legibility comes first).
    • Manual setting possible: Settings ▸ Display density (Automatic / Comfortable / Compact).
    • No change on desktop machines: at the usual screen size, the display is strictly identical to previous versions.
  • Channel list that can be hidden away at any time (View ▸ Channel list), including on a large screen.

Fixed

  • The top bar controls can no longer disappear. When width is short, those that no longer fit are tucked into a ⋯ button instead of being cut off: on a narrow screen or in a language with long labels, some controls — including full screen — became inaccessible.

1.37.0 2026 · 1 change

Added

  • New Panorama mode in the analogue/audio cells: the signal of the WHOLE file at a glance (envelope + average level), to spot a problem immediately then zoom in on it.
    • Anomalies flagged automatically above each track: clipping (red), acquisition gaps (orange), prolonged silences (grey) — with the count in the status bar.
    • Three tools: hand (drag = move, click = position the playback), Photoshop-style magnifier (click = zoom in, Alt+click = out, drag a rectangle = zoom on it), selection (drag a range = A–B playback zone, ready for looping, extraction or export).
    • Zoom: wheel around the cursor, middle-click held down (up/down = continuous zoom), double-click = whole file; permanent mini-preview at the bottom with the current window; at deep zoom, the real waveform sample by sample.
    • Listening: the ▶ button plays the selected range.
    • Up to 4 stacked channels (Channels menu), weak signals amplified automatically for display (factor stated, e.g. ×64).

1.36.0 2026 · 3 changes

Added

  • Oscilloscope: the trigger line disappears during playback — two small flags at the edges mark the level, and the line is only displayed while it is being set. Auto set no longer triggers on noise (and waits for the signal to arrive on a silent channel). The Physical quantity panel of the Measurements tab folds with one click. New FFT dynamic ranges 0/−140 and 0/−160 dB, and axis labels corrected to dBV.
  • Magic fill: One card per graph option — superimposed channels never mix two acquisition cards.

Fixed

  • OK button to close the measurement selection windows; × 0.25 speed no longer cropped.

1.35.2 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • No more offsets between simultaneous channels in network reception (file playback had already been fixed): channels acquired at the same instant are now displayed aligned, whatever the way the network spreads out their transport. The timestamp follows the acquisition by the unit, no longer the arrival of the packets, and the rate measured in reception is exact. Verified by measurement on a local stream: zero deviation.

1.35.1 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • No more brief offsets between the traces of one and the same oscilloscope cell, visible above all with the trigger active: channels acquired at the same instant could drift apart fleetingly then realign, over and over. All the traces of one and the same sweep are now drawn from the same acquisition snapshot, as on an oscilloscope. Verified by measurement on a real file: zero deviation over the whole duration of the test.
  • The measured rate of the analogue channels (.mux) is now exact (it could be slightly overestimated at the start of playback, which contributed to the offsets).

1.35.0 2026 · 1 change

Added

  • Playback of a new family of video channels (.mux). The video recordings of some devices, until now unreadable (cells showing Decoding impossible), are displayed like any other video: playback slaved to the time slider, frame-by-frame stepping, brightness/contrast/gamma, magnifier, full screen, image capture and rotation.

1.34.3 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • End of a crash when opening some files containing video channels. When a video channel could not be opened, the entire application closed; the cell now shows a clear message and the rest of the file can be viewed normally. Closing a video cell in the middle of playback is also safer.

1.34.2 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • End of the brief offsets between oscilloscope cells. When several cells displayed channels acquired at the same instant, one could fleetingly run ahead of the other, at regular intervals. All the cells of a same refresh now share exactly the same reference instant, like the channels of an oscilloscope. Verified by measurement: the gap, which reached 32.8 milliseconds, is now zero.

1.34.1 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • No more brief offsets between channels when looping. On each return to the start of the recording (or of the A/B zone), the curves could drift out of sync for a fraction of a second before coming back together: the internal cleanup arrived slightly later than the new data. It is now immediate.

1.34.0 2026 · 4 changes

New

  • FFT in dBV. The spectrum is now displayed in dBV (0 dB = 1 V RMS), the reading expected of a measurement bench: injecting 1 Vrms shows 0 dB, whatever the full scale of the channel. The old dBFS scale remains available in the unit list, and the marker reads the same unit as the curve.
  • Volta calibration: selection by card. A card with at least one channel checked enters the file with all its channels; a card entirely unchecked does not appear in it.

Fixed

  • Rigorous channel alignment with the trigger active as well. With a trigger, the channels could move apart from one another by a fraction of a second on the display, whereas their samples are acquired at the same instant. The phases displayed between channels are now faithful in every mode.
  • The Light rendering setting has been removed: the new display engine makes it useless, and it degraded the sharpness of the trace.

1.33.1 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • After closing oscilloscope cells, the last one left open could display its signal with a slight, needless delay. Fixed.

1.33.0 2026 · 2 changes

New — the signal display rethought, with no compromise

  • The trace is smoothed AND fast. The previous versions wavered between two modes: one gave a fine curve but slowed down as soon as there were many periods, the other was fast but drew steps. There is now only one mode, which smooths the curve at the very moment it draws it — the method oscilloscopes use. No more steps, and the cost no longer depends on the content of the signal.
  • The curve is now drawn at the exact resolution of the screen, which removes any staircase effect on high-resolution screens.

1.32.3 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • No more "staircase" trace at large time bases. The fast display mode switched on too early, on signals that were still not very dense, where it gave a stepped rendering. It is now reserved for signals that really fill a band — beyond a hundred or so periods on screen. Below that, the curve keeps its usual smoothed trace.

1.32.2 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • The trace appeared dotted in the previous version: the points from one column to the next were no longer joined. The curve is continuous again.
  • The new fast display mode is now reserved for dense signals, those that fill a band. Thin curves get back the usual smoothed trace.

1.32.1 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • The trace disappeared when changing time base in the previous version. Fixed.

1.32.0 2026 · 2 changes

New — the display of dense signals rethought

  • The trace no longer slows down when many periods are displayed. Until now the dense curve was described to the display system as a geometric shape of nearly two thousand points, which it had to decompose on every refresh: the more periods the signal contained, the more expensive that decomposition became. The method of an oscilloscope has been adopted: the curve is now drawn directly into an image of fixed size, then displayed in one piece. The cost no longer depends on what the signal contains.
  • The look of the trace is unchanged: same band, same colours, same amplitudes.

1.31.3 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • The ⚡ Light rendering setting no longer distorts the trace. In the previous version it drew the outline of the envelope instead of the solid band, which made dense signals unreadable. The solid band is restored in all circumstances: the look of the trace no longer changes.
  • The setting now acts on the rendering fineness: the curve is drawn at half the resolution of the screen, then enlarged. Four times fewer pixels to paint, an identical shape, a trace only slightly softer — and it remains more detailed than on a standard screen.

1.31.2 2026 · 1 change

New

  • ⚡ Light rendering (large screens) setting, in the 🎨 Customization menu of each cell. On a high-resolution screen, a dense trace paints a band over the whole height of the cell — up to eight million pixels on every refresh. This setting now draws only its outline and turns off smoothing: the amplitude stays readable, the display becomes smooth again. The choice is kept from one session to the next.

1.31.1 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed — smoothness on a large screen

  • Cells that are not on screen no longer consume anything. A tab that was not displayed kept redrawing its curves.
  • Display rate matched to the size of the cell. The cost of a trace depends above all on the number of pixels to paint: on a 4K screen, a full-screen cell covers nine times more of them than the same cell in a reduced window. The application now adjusts its refresh rate accordingly — small cells keep exactly their current smoothness, large ones stop saturating the display.

1.31.0 2026 · 3 changes

Fixed — Volta card calibration

  • The .mif file now covers ALL the channels of the card, and not only the channels that are checked. On a 9-channel card of which 4 were calibrated, the file produced contained only 4: the coefficients ended up offset and the card applied to each channel the calibration of another. The position of a coefficient depends on the rank of the channel, so the geometry of the file must be complete.
  • Checking a channel now means "I am calibrating it", and not "I am including it in the file". A channel that is not calibrated keeps the coefficients of a re-imported file, or receives a neutral correction.
  • The preview table shows exactly the content of the file, and the header indicates which channels were actually calibrated.

1.30.2 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • FFT mode much smoother. The grid and its graduations were rebuilt entirely on every refresh instead of being kept — for each cell displayed. With several spectral analyses open, that was enough to saturate the display and to make the application slow to respond. The grid is now rebuilt only when it actually changes.

1.30.1 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • The signal no longer stretches after a move within the recording. When repositioning, the software recomputed the sampling rate from timestamps belonging to the previous instant: the channel was then displayed heavily dilated for a fraction of a second. A move is now recognised as such as soon as it is received, and the rate starts again from the value declared by the recording.
  • Smoother display, in particular with many cells open. The labels of each cell were rewritten on every refresh even when they had not changed, which called needlessly on the display — and, as a knock-on effect, on audio playback.

1.30.0 2026 · 3 changes

New

  • All the channels displayed now share one and the same reference instant. Each oscilloscope cell showed up to its own last sample received; since the channels of a recording are delivered one after the other, some ran briefly ahead, and they were not always the same ones. Hence the fleeting offsets between curves, very visible on opening. The cells are now realigned on a common edge. A channel that stops does not block the others, and a channel alone on screen is never delayed.

Fixed

  • No more stretching of the signal after a move within the recording. The trace filled the screen with the residual content of the buffer while waiting for the new data. It now displays only what it has received, at its proper position on the time axis, the area still empty remaining empty.
  • During that brief moment, the cursors display — instead of a value that would have meant nothing.

1.29.9 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • Error message when clicking on the time slider. Moving within a recording could display Unexpected error when several analog channels were open. Fixed, and moving no longer causes a wait before the display comes back.

1.29.8 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • Automatic calibration lost when changing mosaic. A cell that was filled and then left aside — for example a magic fill followed by an immediate switch to another mosaic — came back with no visible signal and never calibrated again. The pending calibration is now kept: the cell sets itself when it comes back. A layout already calibrated keeps its scales, as before.
  • Realignment of the channels with one another effective at all time bases. The mechanism introduced in the previous version did not switch on at short time bases, where the offset shows the most.

1.29.7 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • The trace no longer "breathes" at start-up. During the first two seconds following the opening of a channel or a change of time base, the signal widened slowly before stabilizing: the sampling rate was estimated with a slight excess that faded away as the packets came in. It is now exact from the very first instant, and primed with the value the recording declares.
  • No more fleeting offsets between two channels displayed together. Each channel was displayed up to its own last sample received; since the channels do not arrive at the same instant, one could run briefly ahead of the other. The channels are now realigned on a common instant.

1.29.6 2026 · 4 changes

New

  • 1 × 2 and 1 × 3 layouts: two or three cells stacked in a column, to compare traces one above the other. The list of layouts is reordered from the simplest to the densest.

Fixed

  • Auto set run again on every change of channel. Only opening a cell calibrated the scale automatically: magic fill, the channel selector and drag-and-drop kept the scale of the previous channel, often out of frame. A saved layout, for its part, keeps its scales.
  • The measurement and cursor boxes no longer move. Their width followed the text displayed: as soon as a value gained or lost a decimal, the box shifted and changed size continuously.
  • The label of the Layout list is no longer truncated.

1.29.5 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • A cell could display a channel other than the one saved. The channel of each trace was held by its position in the list of analog channels; if that list changed between two openings — for example by turning PCM decommutation on or off — the cell reopened on a neighboring channel, without indicating it. Channels are now held by their NUMBER. If the saved channel no longer exists, the cell keeps its own instead of displaying one at random.
  • Time base: a horizontal scale value outside the list could leave the cell with no trace.

1.29.4 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • Empty analog channels when a file is reopened. After a software update, the saved layouts did come back — cells, channels and mosaics in their place — but the oscilloscopes stayed with no trace: you had to close everything and reopen the channels by hand. The display settings stored for each cell did not survive the move from one version to the next. This is fixed, and layouts saved with previous versions become usable again: a cell whose settings cannot be read back now reopens automatically ranged rather than empty.

1.29.3 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • Card descriptors could not be imported on an installation. Imported descriptors were written to the software folder, which Windows protects against writing: the import failed. They are now stored in your personal folder, and a descriptor you import takes precedence over the one shipped with the software for the same card. The import window shows both locations.

1.29.2 2026 · 3 changes

Fixed

  • Cards not recognised on some recordings. Channels coming from cards whose reference starts with a letter (A76A, A81A, A4EA…) were displayed with no slot and their descriptor did not apply: putting the swapped samples back in order therefore had no effect, even after importing the right descriptor file. These cards are now recognised like the others — slot shown in the tree and correction applied automatically. Applies to file playback, live reception and replay.
  • Descriptor import window: it now follows the chosen theme (it stayed light in dark mode).

New

  • If a recording really does not specify any card for its channels, the import window lets you designate their card. The choice is remembered for that file.

1.29.1 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • Inverted sampling: the right correction. On some cards the samples arrive swapped in pairs — instead of the sequence n, n+1, n+2, n+3… you receive n+1, n, n+3, n+2… which gives the sine wave a staircase appearance. The oscilloscope's Inverted sampling checkbox now puts the points back in the right order (it used to flip the signal vertically, which did not correct the fault). The same correction is applied automatically to cards that declare it in their descriptor. It applies to the data: the display, the measurements and the exports are consistent.

1.29.0 2026 · 1 change

New

  • Card descriptors — no more samples the wrong way round. New Tools ▸ Import a card descriptor (.inf) menu: you supply the descriptor of a card (one file, or a whole folder at once) and the software is equipped once and for all. It then applies automatically as soon as a card or a recording of that model is recognised.
    • Correction of cards that deliver their samples swapped in pairs — the information does not appear in any recording, it comes from the descriptor. The correction applies to the data: the oscilloscope, the measurements, the cursors, the FFT, audio listening, the CSV export and the test report all show the same corrected value. It applies live as well as when replaying recordings already made, and channel by channel (one file can mix several cards).
    • The descriptor also provides the frequencies and ranges actually available on the card and its capabilities (coupling, trigger, output, frequency per channel).
    • Your recording always takes precedence: the descriptor only fills in what is missing, and any discrepancy between the two is reported to you in the event log.

New

  • D.T.MUX Recorder mode — support for several card types. The mode now switches on for any ETEP card detected (previously reserved for the A4E card). The Viewer recognises the model and programs the card from a card library (Cartes\ folder installed next to the software: descriptors + FPGA programs). You choose/confirm the card program to load. The acquisition and decoding specific to each card family (PCM…) will be enabled after validation on the bench; this version recognises and programs the card.

1.26.1 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • Replay — signal restored on the physical outputs. The replay was shown on screen but the card outputs stayed silent: the start-up used the wrong mode. Fixed — the signal now really comes out on the outputs.

1.26.0 2026 · 2 changes

New

  • D.T.MUX Recorder mode — REPLAY on the card. A new ▶ Replay button replays a .mux recording directly on the physical outputs of the card: choose the file, assign its channels to the outputs (free routing, remembered), and the signal really comes out — with the display of the replayed content on screen and the progress. Loop replay is possible; stopping brings you automatically back to acquisition. The frequency and the ranges are taken from the file.

Fixed

  • First power-up. After the card program was loaded, acquisition could stay Waiting until the software was restarted. Start-up now waits for the card to confirm: no more need to restart.

1.25.4 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • No more stray empty mosaic on restore. When reopening or reconfiguring, the stored configuration now comes back on its own and first — the empty 2×2 mosaic that used to open automatically before your mosaics has been eliminated (a fault also fixed when reopening a file).

1.25.3 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • Workspace restore made more reliable. When reopening or reconfiguring, no more stray empty mosaic at the head: your layout comes back first, identical. The affected old configurations are repaired automatically.
  • Mosaics in the background. The settings of the cells of mosaics that are not displayed (background tabs) are now remembered as well.

1.25.2 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • D.T.MUX Recorder mode — card reconfiguration restored. An Unexpected error message could block the change of configuration (frequency/amplitude), depending on the display state of the cells. Fixed, and the storing of the display is now immune to that kind of situation.

1.25.1 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • D.T.MUX Recorder mode — display storage made more reliable. During a reconfiguration (frequency/amplitude), the mosaic is no longer duplicated and the layout as well as the settings of each channel are correctly restored — exactly as when a file is reopened.

Improved

  • Display stored PER CELL (file and card). The mode of each cell (oscilloscope, FFT, waterfall, measurements) and its settings (time base, scales, trigger, cursors) are now kept: two cells of the same channel can keep different presentations and find them again.

1.25.0 2026 · 3 changes

New

  • D.T.MUX Recorder mode — the configuration is remembered. Your mosaics and the settings of each channel (scale, measurements, colours…) are now kept when you change the frequency or the amplitude, and found again on restart as soon as the same card is recognised. No need to reconfigure everything.
  • ⏸ Freeze button. A new button in the bar freezes the display of all channels (like the STOP on an oscilloscope): acquisition and recording continue in the background, and a second click resumes live. Available in Recorder mode and in network reception.
  • Quick access to the card configuration. A ⚙ Card config button is added in the bar, to the right of the stop button (the Tools menu entry remains available).

1.24.4 2026 · 2 changes

Fixed

  • Recorder — accurate analog channels. The scale of the analog channels now faithfully reflects the full dynamic range of the chosen range (no compensation factor any more). The display and the recorded values are consistent with the selected range.
  • Recorder — compliant .mux file. The descriptive header (secretariat) written at the start of the recorded files now complies with the standard format: channels, activation, coupling, frequency and full scale. The files reopen cleanly in every tool.

1.24.3 2026 · 1 change

Fixed

  • D.T.MUX Recorder mode — acquisition restored. On some cards, start-up ended on an empty display although acquisition was running. Fixed: the Viewer now uses the right internal program of the card, and the acquisition is displayed normally.

1.24.2 2026 · 2 changes

Improvements

  • D.T.MUX Recorder mode — more reliable start-up. The preparation of the card at launch is more robust and shows its progress during the longest step; start-up is safer and it is easier to see where it stands.

  • Internal reliability fixes.

1.24.1 2026 · 2 changes

Improvements

  • D.T.MUX Recorder mode. Start-up now shows its progress (searching for the card, card recognised, preparation, then waiting for the signal): the interface stays smooth and it is clear where the start-up stands.

  • D.T.MUX Recorder mode. The Viewer can now acquire and display live the signals of an acquisition card in the ground station (up to 4 audio channels), in addition to the File and Network modes. A new 🎛 D.T.MUX Recorder choice appears in the mode selector when a compatible card is present on the machine.
  • Simple configuration. Tools ▸ Recorder (card)… menu: sampling frequency and gain per channel. The channels are displayed immediately (oscilloscope, audio listening…) like any other channel.
  • Driven recording. Recording in .mux format can be triggered automatically by the external signal of the card (or manually), with an indicator light on the front panel. The recorded files then reopen normally in the Viewer.

  • Customizable test report. A new Tools ▸ Export a report opens a complete wizard: choose what appears in the report (test header — aircraft, flight no., operator, date… —, channel inventory, statistics, quality, verdict, observations, cover page…), select the channels and the columns, set the page layout, then generate a polished PDF (or HTML) in the ETEP colours. Saved templates let you find your presentation again from one test to the next, and a preview is available before generation.
  • Captures in the report. A 📷 button captures the workspace as it is displayed (oscilloscope, video, tables…) to insert it into the test report.
  • Extracting a segment. File ▸ Extract a segment produces a new, lighter file containing only the period and the channels chosen — ideal for sharing a few minutes of a flight several hours long. The period is set in seconds or by placing two A / B markers on a large timeline.
  • CSV export for all files. The CSV export now also works on .mux files (and not only .c10), with the choice of physical units and limitation to a period.
  • A / B playback zone. Two A / B markers on the time slider define a zone; in loop playback, playback runs only inside that zone.
  • Oscilloscope — analysis by regime (Campbell). The Waterfall can be plotted as a function of a reference channel (an engine speed, for example) instead of time, to bring out the frequencies linked to the regime.
  • Reliability and performance strengthened. More robust network reception and recording, faster opening of large files and CSV export, and many small adjustments to accuracy and comfort.

  • Analog channels: the Inverted sampling option is no longer ticked automatically when a channel is opened (observed in network reception). Inverting the samples is now an exclusively manual choice.

  • 3D view of the Waterfall. In analog channels, the Waterfall mode gains a 🧊 3D button: the spectrum is displayed in relief (time × frequency × amplitude) with axes that stay legible at all times, a colour scale, and a view that you rotate with the mouse (wheel = zoom, a button to reset) — all of it in a carefully worked visual setting, with no slowdown.
  • Real-time PCM synchronization indicator. Every cell that comes from PCM decommutation shows a dot: green when synchronization is good, flashing red in the event of a break or a loss. A global PCM indicator at the bottom of the window summarizes the state of all the channels.
  • PCM values in your choice of format. Decommutated values can be displayed as a physical quantity, in decimal, hexadecimal or binary — the choice is remembered.
  • Oscilloscope cursors rethought. Handles that are easy to grab for moving each cursor, a value display that is larger and more legible, and a button to choose which measurements to show (Δt, frequency, ΔV, signal values, slope…), as on a high-end oscilloscope.
  • Measurements mode fully customizable. A Measurement settings button opens the complete catalog (more than twenty measurements: amplitudes, times, statistics, numeric formats) to be ticked freely. Measurement cells move and resize at will (the text adapts to the size), they push one another naturally without ever overlapping, and each cell can be given its own colours. The layout is remembered for each channel.
  • Mosaic in free placement. The new 🖐 Free button releases the mosaic from its grid: each window moves (✥ handle) and resizes freely, is added by double-clicking or by drag and drop from the channel list, and the layout is found again when it is reopened.
  • Full screen. The button puts the mosaic into complete full screen: all that is left is playback, the time slider and the logos (Esc to leave).
  • Workspace configurations. The File menu lets you save your whole arrangement (mosaics, windows, measurements, customizations) to a file, then reload it into any recording.

Improvements

  • The oscilloscope drop-down lists (time base, scale…) show a scroll bar on small screens.
  • In Measurements mode, the name of each measurement takes the colour of its channel by default.

  • Oscilloscope — customizable display. A 🔆 Brightness button (next to Cursors) lets you set the brightness of the grid, choose the grid colour (automatic or free) and the background colour (ready-made backgrounds or a complete colour palette). The setting can be applied to all the graphs or to one only, and everything can be put back to default with a single click. The grid has been redrawn (sharper frame, axes and graduations, automatic contrast).
  • A clearer Measurements mode. Measurements are now shown as cards, one per channel (distinct colours, values brought to the fore: peak-to-peak, max, min, mean, RMS, frequency) that fill the whole space, with the physical quantity setting integrated in the same style.
  • Standard trace colours (oscilloscope colour code): channel 1 yellow, channel 2 blue, channel 3 pink, channel 4 green.

  • Oscilloscope — measurements as a physical quantity. In Measurements mode, a y = a·x + b field below the table converts the measured voltage into a physical quantity: enter the a and b coefficients, choose the quantity (angle, temperature, pressure, acceleration… or a free unit), and every measurement (min, max, mean, RMS, peak-to-peak) is displayed in that unit — for example a ±10 V sensor displayed as ±180°. The setting is remembered for each channel.

  • PCM decommutation. The Tools ▸ Decommutation menu now offers two choices: Ethernet video (as before) and PCM. PCM decommutation is done in two stages:
    • Synchronization: choose the channel to decommutate (or open a bit stream that has already been extracted), set the frame structure and the sync (these settings can be loaded, entered and saved), then start synchronization. The lock status is displayed live (frames, quality, SFID…).
    • Parameters: describe your parameters in a table (position, bits, commutation, conversion into physical units), browse the frames and export the whole thing to CSV. Parameter maps can be loaded and saved, including from existing configurations.
    • Display in the mosaic: once the channel is synchronised and its map loaded, the channel takes on a colour in the list and can be placed in a cell like the others: the table of decommutated values follows playback, and each parameter can be displayed individually (value + curve) in its own cell.

  • Parallel channels: state changes are now detected when exactly the number of channels is entered (no longer any need to add one more). The 0/1 state display is more responsive.

Improvements

  • Parallel channels: simplified view — the Word width option (of no use) has been removed, the number of channels is entered freely (8 by default), and a ↻ Reset button resets the view.

  • Video decommutation of Ethernet channels: some Ethernet channels in a recording carry a video stream. The new Tools ▸ Video decommutation… menu lets you designate, among all the channels, those to be displayed as video. A channel that is ticked then opens in the video player — with the same image tools (brightness, contrast, gamma, magnifier, timestamp, full screen, capture) — instead of its usual display. Your choice is remembered for each channel.
  • When an Ethernet channel carries several videos, they are automatically listed under the channel (highlighted in colour, folded and unfolded with one click); each video opens independently in the mosaic.
  • Rotation of the video image: a button in each video view rotates the display in steps of 90°. The orientation is remembered for each channel (handy if a camera is mounted crooked).

  • File / Network mode selector (drop-down menu) in the top bar: with one click, switch between playing back a file and receiving a live stream. Each mode shows only the commands that are useful.
  • In File mode, a 📡 Broadcast button lets you send the file being played to another machine (the destination is set in Tools ▸ Network).
  • In Network mode, listening for the stream and recording are now quick-access buttons — recording can even be armed before the stream arrives, then stopped without interrupting reception. The Tools ▸ Network menu is used to configure reception and to choose its format.

Improvements

  • ARINC channels now open directly as a table of values. The cockpit display remains available with a single click, and your choice is remembered for each cell.
  • When an analog channel is opened, Auto set is now applied automatically (vertical scale and time base set to the signal), as if you had clicked Auto set. If you have saved a layout with your own settings, they are kept.
