D.T.MUX NanoSwitch

A rugged four-port Gigabit Ethernet switch that brings reliable, zero-configuration 10/100/1000 connectivity to demanding airborne embedded networks.

D.T.MUX NanoSwitch
Rugged Hardware / Accessories

A 4-port Gigabit Ethernet rugged airborne unmanaged switch, excellent for high-end airborne applications, providing reliable communication with 10/100/1000 devices via auto-configuring GbE ports.

The D.T.MUX NanoSwitch integrates directly into a D.T.MUX installation to fan out a single Ethernet link into four auto-negotiating Gigabit ports, letting recorders, cameras, sensors and processing units share one embedded network without any setup. As an unmanaged switch it requires no configuration or management interface: each port auto-detects link speed and duplex, so mixed 10, 100 and 1000 Mbps devices coexist on the same fabric.

Housed in a compact rugged enclosure with a passive heat sink and a robust MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connector, it is designed for high-end airborne platforms where fan-less cooling, low power draw and mechanical resilience are essential. Per-port status LEDs give immediate visual confirmation of link presence and negotiated speed during integration and operation.

Qualified to RTCA DO-160G

The NanoSwitch is DO-160G qualified across the board: vibration, shock and acceleration to Sections 7.2 / 7.3 / 8 Cat. S, temperature to Section 4 Cat. B2 (-45 °C to +85 °C operating, -55 °C to +95 °C storage), IP64 waterproofness (Section 10 Cat. W), magnetic effects, power input and voltage spikes (Sections 15 / 16 / 17), and EMC & lightning (Sections 18 to 22). Powered from 16-36 V DC with reverse-polarity protection, it draws about 4 W, measures 135.3 × 98.2 × 45.1 mm for ≈0.65 kg, operates up to 25,000 ft and carries an MTBF of 90,000 hours at 30 °C.
