Sentinel Remote Control

A cockpit-mount control head for the Sentinel flight data recorder, putting live status, guarded erase and event marking within the crew's reach.

Sentinel Remote Control
Rugged Hardware / Accessories

An accessory for the Sentinel unit that displays live status and provides erase functionality and event marking. Built for direct cockpit integration, with optional night-vision compatibility and an optional area microphone.

The Sentinel Remote Control is the crew interface to ETEP's Sentinel integrated Flight Data Recorder — the ED-155 and ED-112A crash-protected units that combine data, audio and image or video in a single lightweight recorder. Rather than adding a separate panel, it fits directly into a standard cockpit DZUS installation (MIL-STD-MS25212, 1.50 in format), so it drops into existing instrument-panel real estate and ties the recorder into the flight deck with minimal integration effort.

Beyond reporting live recorder status on its tri-colour LED, the unit lets the crew mark events in flight (or run a recorder test) and initiate the erase function — audio, video or common, each protected by a switch guard cover to prevent inadvertent activation. It is compatible with aircraft panel backlighting, offers an optional NVIS version for night-vision-goggle cockpits, an optional area microphone compliant with ED-155A/ED-112B, an optional SD card that mirror-records the data acquired by the crash-protected recorder, and optional Vivisun illuminated buttons.
